A three-hour, in-person writing event focused on ideas, momentum, and accountability.
The Current: Summer Session, a Ten Thousand Words writing event
Writing doesn’t happen in isolation—It needs focus, structure, and the right room.
The Current: Summer Session is a three-hour, in-person working session designed to help you generate strong, shape, and move forward 1-2 ideas you can realistically develop and pitch for publication.
This is not a lecture or a traditional workshop. It’s a focused, facilitated space for people who want to think clearly, produce meaningful work, and benefit from the energy and perspective of a strong group.
Together, we will:
Generate and refine timely, publishable ideas
Identify angles, themes, and potential markets
Share work and thinking in a structured, supportive setting
Leave with clear next steps and momentum beyond the session
The first The Current gathering filled with thoughtful, engaged participants and produced ideas that are already moving toward publication. This next session builds on that foundation, but there are no prerequisites to attend.
If you’ve been thinking about writing—but want a more intentional, accountable way to move forward—this is for you.
